What is a Shrub?
A sweet and tart vinegar-based syrup infused with fruit and often botanicals. In colonial times, these "drinking vinegars" were a popular way to enjoy fruit all season long. The name originally comes from the Arabic word "sharab", meaning drink.
Flavor profile:
Handpicked blueberries harmonize with lavender, cornflower, and a whisper of blue butterfly pea in this elegant, subtly floral shrub. Bright violet in the glass, sweet and tart on the palate, and cooling and calming with every sip.
How to enjoy:
Add an ounce or so to a glass and top off with sparkling water, add to your favorite cocktail/ mocktail, use in salad dressings and marinades, or drizzle over desserts.
